CMIM was invited to participate in an event called “Picnic at Powerhouse Park”, hosted by the Del Mar Foundation. Our theme for the event was “Bringing Chess to Del Mar”.
The event was a huge success, not only in terms of turnout and positive feedback, but also in achieving our goal of community-building.
We had eight tables of chess matches running throughout the day, and people did not shy away from challenging the master, taking part in instruction and picking up some friendly pointers.
