After 2 years of construction, the San Diego Chess Club will open again this month! We will meet on Friday, March 24th , at the newly refurbished club.
It will be nice to be back in the club and both parents and students will be amazed with the improvements. It has been a long time in the making, but clearly worth the wait. It looks spectacular!!

A big shout out to the Redwood Bridge Club. An excellent host for the last couple of years, we have only a few more chess sessions here before we move back into the San Diego Chess Club.
Our Friday evening chess club has been held of the Bridge Club for the last couple of years. When no one wanted to host, the Bridge Club stepped up and welcomed the junior chess players of San Diego, an absolute godsend.
Thank you so much, we hope the SDCC can return the favor at some point.

We like the tournaments hosted by Hanley Chess Academy. The competitions are well run and there are always plenty of trophies! SDCC and CMIM are always well represented. We always look forward to success as a team. The 75-minute drive north does not discourage
vibrant participation! We usually bring a team of 15 to 20 participants, most of whom are ranked players. Our team is often the best-represented, and the most successful in terms of winning and placing in the tournaments.
Our students perform extremely well, both individually and as a team. The results speak for themselves!
