After 2 years of construction, the San Diego Chess Club will open again this month! We will meet on Friday, March 24th , at the newly refurbished club.
A big shout out to the Redwood Bridge Club. An excellent host for the last couple of years, we have only a few more chess sessions here before we move back into the San Diego Chess Club.
Join the SDCC chess team we meet on Friday evenings from 6.30-9.00 pm @ the San Diego Chess Club.

Developing a stronger community by helping kids grow one move at a time.
Martin has a true love of chess. you can see it in his enthusiasm and energy. He sees the full potential of all his students and is truly dedicated to the improvement of their skills. He is a phenomenal teacher, not only the tailored instruction to each student, but, through his teachings, he imparts his knowledge of life skills.
One of Martin’s biggest achievement is to revitalize the scholastic chess program at the San Diego Chess Club. Through his active involvement and continuous support, the Jedi Knights Children’s Club has gained popularity and increased attendance for all levels of scholastic players, novice, intermediate and advanced alike.
Martin’s talent goes far beyond being a National Master, as he has that rare talent of also being able to teach that which he is also a master at performing. Not only does he bring passion and a desire to work with kids, but his delivery to the kids is with such excitement and energy that it’s infectious.
